The Augusta Youth Volleyball League will consist of teams of 3rd & 4th grade students and teams of 5th & 6th grade students. Teams will compete in a Dairyland Conference grouping with both weeknight and possible weekend dates. Practices will be held during the week with times determined at a later date.
These teams will be affiliated with the Augusta Volleyball Program, and therefore coaches and athletes will be held to the same expectations and guidelines set forth by the program. There will be two teams per level, consisting of 10 student-athletes. This is not expected to be a place where winning is the ultimate goal. Players will be coached to learn how to play and enjoy volleyball and what it means to be part of a team. The intention is for teams to be organized as evenly as possible, which will allow students the opportunity to play all positions at some point in the season. This league is about the development of student-athletes and the Augusta Volleyball Program. Negative attitudes, unsportsmanlike conduct, and poor representation of the community and the Augusta Volleyball Program will not be tolerated and will be grounds for removal from the league.
If you are registering your athlete, it is imperative that parents and athletes commit to ensure teams can participate in the entire season. Commitment also allows for a smoother process when creating teams. Once registration is complete, teams will be formed based on the number of participants.
